Hello, again!

Lavender a-buzzI’ve missed you, friends!

I’ve written so many blog posts in the recent months… in my head. I really have been writing quite a bit, but the content has been specifically for Our Daily Bread Ministries so I haven’t had the ability to post more here. (If you’re not familiar with Our Daily Bread, please do check it out as an accessible yet thought-provoking daily devotional. Whether you prefer to receive them in print or through social media, they’ve got options! My devotionals will begin appearing in March of 2017.) I do hope you’re following me on Instagram and Facebook, too; when the radio is silent on the blog, you can usually count on something on those sites (but I still don’t seem to be able to Tweet).

Summer is in full-swing and I’ve just begun to find a rhythm after three weeks. We moved locally on June 6th, so I’m going to use the “boxes” excuse for as long as I can. (How long can I blame my inability to respond to email on the post-move chaos? Give me a number of days, people, because it’s pretty ugly over here… in my bonus room and in my inbox.) I’ve had to go back and re-read a few old posts to start to get my groove back.

One of my biggest challenges every summer is finding the space for quiet: reading, reflection, and study. With kids that stay up late and (inconceivably) also get up early, I’ve got precisely zero minutes to myself. Many women I know also struggle to find a healthy spiritual rhythm in the summer, especially if they’re accustomed to group Bible studies. Which is why I’m particularly tickled to invite you all to another LIFT event happening on July 16th. (If you missed the January event, just visit my last blog post and you’ll be caught up on the scoop.) Pam, Genny, and I will be leading a workshop on conquering fear (we’ve all got ’em!). Check out the details on the LIFT website and please join us (direct link to ticketing here)!

Hoping to see more of you in the coming weeks!

Kirsten
